Los Entre Mundos - What is on the way to other worlds?

Farah and I collaborated to create a short story that focuses on storytelling through video. Initially, we began with a broader idea of using a storyboard, but after brainstorming together, we decided that a video format would be more dynamic and engaging. The video incorporates various clips and visuals, with English narration and French subtitles to emphasize language accessibility. For anyone approaching this piece, I would suggest viewing it as an example of how media and language access can be blended to create a narrative. The output is not perfect and the focus should be more about how we brought different pieces together to tell a story.
I took a deep dive into what it means to build and design a pluriverse, or as described by the Zapatistas: “a world where many worlds may fit” that can exist as an alternative to harmful and oppressive systems. During the week, I spent a lot of time thinking about what it means to migrate into new worlds, and how migrations and transitions can be filled with opportunity, but are often also incredibly hard and painful. In my output, I have a conversation with Mariana about how can we reconcile the contradictions, the anxiety and the immense joy that comes with building new worlds, how does it feel to be "in-between worlds" and how can we take the best care of ourselves and each other in that process.
